Tour to Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley: 2 days / 1 night by train

With overnight in Ollantaytambo

If you come to Cusco and would like to know only the most essential, we recommend you book our tour to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu in 2 days and 1 night with an overnight in Ollantaytambo (the only one living Inca city in Peru).

Day 1: Sacred Valley tour + overnight in Ollantaytambo

We’ll pick you up at your hotel early in the morning to take the bus to the first attraction: Pisaq (archaeological site of the Inca period), afterwards, we will make a stop in Urubamba city for lunch in a traditional restaurant. After lunch, we are going to continue driving by bus to Ollantaytambo colonial city to discover the mysteries of the Inca archaeological site of Ollantaytambo.

After visiting the last attraction, you’ll spend the night in Ollantaytambo city so that you can take your train the next day without any rush.

Day 2: Ollantaytambo — Aguas Calientes + guided tour of Machu Picchu and return to Cusco

Make your way very early to Ollantaytambo train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes city, upon reaching this city; you’ll have free time for breakfast and a walk.

Next, go to the Aguas Calientes bus station to finally ride up the ruins of Machu Picchu. Our tour guide will be waiting for you outside the main gate of Machu Picchu ruins; afterwards, you’ll enter this wonder and take the guided tour for approximately 2 hours.

Return to Aguas Calientes city (in the afternoon) to take the train back to Ollantaytambo city and then take a vehicle back to Cusco city.
