If your answer was “no”, don’t worry. It’s always a good idea to escape to a hidden gem you hadn’t planned for. After all, the canyons are so impressive that we’re sure they’ll leave you speechless, making you want to explore them as if you’d just arrived at your dream destination.
In Qorihuillca, just 40 minutes from Ayacucho, you’ll walk between curved walls and the striking rock formations of caves and canyons carved long ago by the waters of a river that has since disappeared. And that’s not all — the play of sunlight and shadows gives this extraordinary landscape a truly spectacular touch.
If you’re after a different kind of tour in Ayacucho, think of the Seven Canyons. Done deal! Just grab a torch, wear comfortable clothes, fill your bottle with water and pack some snacks in your rucksack. That’s all you’ll need to join us on this adventure to Qorihuillca, your next great destination.
Itineray
No need for an early start on this tour. At 09:00 hours, we’ll be waiting for you at Portal Constitución No. 09, in Ayacucho’s Plaza de Armas (2,761 m.a.s.l.). Use the Cathedral as your reference — our meeting point is right opposite.
If you book our private tour, we’ll meet you directly at your hotel at the agreed time. From there, we’ll head to the district of Coriilka Chico (province of Huamanga). Estimated travel time: 40 minutes.

Caves and narrow passageways await you in the Seven Canyons of Qorihuillca, a geological wonder carved by the waters of a river that no longer flows — its ancient torrent sculpted the winding corridors of this adventure spot at 2,727 m.a.s.l.
At 09:45 in the morning, you’ll begin your exploration. Three hours of walking lie ahead, during which you’ll see sunlight gently filtering through the openings of caves and canyons, creating a fascinating play of light and shadow.
If you’re passionate about caving, this tour is perfect for you. And even if you’re simply someone who enjoys challenges and unique natural landscapes, Qorihuillca will win you over — it’s a one-of-a-kind destination and a true masterpiece of nature.
To explore the Seven Canyons, don’t forget to bring a torch to light up the darker spots. You’ll also need a bottle of water and a few snacks in your rucksack to keep the experience pleasant. As for clothing, wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely.
Back to Ayacucho. At 13:00 hours, the tour finishes near the Plaza de Armas.
If you’ve booked our private tour, we’ll drop you off at your hotel or accommodation — with the certainty that you’ve just lived a truly great adventure.
