✅ Tour to Waqrapukara in Cusco - full day outing

Off the beaten path excursion

Tour to Waqrapukara: If you are tired of traditional tours happening in Cusco, experience this full-day excursion to an imperial attraction known as Waqrapukara; Waqra means horn and Pukara is equivalent to watch-tower in the Quechua language, then this was a horn-shaped Militar watch-tower built back in the Inca period, it’s located on top of top of a steep mountain at 4,300 m a.s.l.

We will pick you up early in the morning at about 4:30 am in your hotel and drive for around 3 hours to the southeast of Cusco, we will arrive at a small village known as Chuquicahuana where we will have some local breakfast.

Afterward, we will ride towards a small village known as Rinconada, and from this place, we will start our adventure on foot. We will walk uphill for around 2.5 hours to reach Waqrapukara archaeological site, where you will have a mind-blowing experience.

We want to advise that travelers hiking to Waqrapukara should be in excellent physical conditions and with excellent altitude acclimatization.
