Tour to Waqrapukara: If you are tired of traditional tours happening in Cusco, experience this full-day excursion to a imperial attraction known as Waqrapukara; Waqra means horn and Pukara is equivalent to watch-tower in the Quechua language, then this was a horn-shaped militar watch-tower, built back in the Inca period: It’s located on top of a steepest mountain at 4,300 m a.s.l.
We will pick you up early in the morning at about 4:30 am in your hotel and drive for around 3 hours to the southeast of Cusco, we will arrive at a small village known as Chuquicahuana, where we will have some local breakfast. Once we are done with breakfast, we will keep driving until we stop at Pomacanchi lake, where you will see an awesome “mirror-looking lake“. At this lake, your Guide will explain about various native fishes.
From Pomacanchi lake, we will ride until Rinconada (a small village), from this place, we will start our adventure on foot. We will walk for around 3 hours to reach Waqrapukara archaeological site, where you will have a mind-blowing experience.
